What Kind Of Lighting

I am cycling a 45 gallon corner tank for angelfish. I want live plants but don't know what type of lighting I need. It is a deep tank. I has room for two lights on top. Right now it has a normal bulb that came with tank. I also have a 30 gallon tank and know I need a better light in that tank. My plants could be doing better, only have room for one light bulb, so where would I buy a better one and what is the type i need. Right now I have a plant light in there that I bought at the lfs, but I know it is not good enough.

If your 45gal has room for 2 bulbs, they are probably 20watts each. The 30gal likely has one 20W bulb. This only works out to around 1 WPG but you can still grow many low light plants with this. If any of them are 30W bulbs, you are in pretty good shape and you choices of plants will be greater. Perhaps getting into some medium-light varieties. You will need to have proper bulbs though.
