I realize this forum is for photos, but after I thought about it I realized this is the place to ask.

I need to find a new camera, but I can't decide what and reviews, well, they don't always cut it. :/

I have seen a lot of GREAT pictures here, so I thought, lets ask this forum. :)

This should help a lot of people, especially if you post links to shots (day and night) taken with your camera. :D

All I have is a FujiPix-210 that came free with my brother-in-law's printer and InfranView freeware to adjust color, contrast, and sharpness. Wish I had a better camera. But, you get what you pay for. :)

Itty Bitty Betta, thank you for sharing. From what I've seen of your pictures it does seem to do a good job on fish. ;)

I know others have cameras and knowing what kind and how the pictures look will help a lot of us! :) Please post!

I love my Sony DSC-707. Takes great macro shots.

Thank you elgecko and Sir Minion. :) Hopefully more will post also. B)

I'm hoping this can be a thread for anybody look for a camera. I spent a lot of time reading reviews, but I'm not looking for a camera to take every day pictures, and neither is anyone in this forum. ;)

We all want pictures of our fish and for that, we need to see what they can do on fish and fish tanks.

So far it's lots of good info! ;)

I have a Really good camera; it's an Aiptek pocket dvII 1.3mega
It works when it wants to, even with brand new batteries, not when i need it to. It focuses when ever it likes, not when I like, even though it's a manual focus. Oh and I can take a massive 9 pictures in total

BTW Thats sarcasum in case you don't recognise it. :/

well the camera isnt mine but i use my mums boyfriends canon 300D, it would have to the best camera... i know rain would agree. And i sometime use my dad sony camera, not sure what model but, ill find out 2morrow..but i wou;d recommend the canon 300D

We have a Kodak DX6490.
It too, has an excellent macro function.
These pictures were all taken using our camera
I'm a major fan of Kodak's digital cameras & docking stations. I've had two of them (upgraded to get a bigger zoom and to get 4.0mp instead of 3.0) and I love them to death -- they can take a beating too. ;) I got the docking station with the built-in 5x7 photo-printer with my last one, and its great too

That's what I have as well. I had an older, more entry level Kodak and it was OK for taking quick snapshots, like when my toddler was a baby. But between wanting to capture distance shots (the DX6490 has a 10X optical zoom) and wanting some good action shots of him and the fish, we decided it was time to upgrade.

This was taken with the macro mode on my camera. Excuse the algae :p

I have a Casio Exilim Z3 3.2MP and would have to agree with RYO that they lack slightly in the macro department and ANY camera movement and all you get is fuzz :/
Still mine does the job and I got it for an absolute bargain so i'm not complaining.
I also use Infranview for editing same as Itty Bitty Betta :)
