One of my zebra danios has a large red patch behind it's gill; it's hard to tell, but I think it might be swollen as well. He also has (I think) missing scales! There are verticle stripes that look like bare skin on his sides(these are somewhat jagged and his back looks like it has a somewhat large bare patch too) One of the other danios has similar markings like this, but smaller and not so prominent.... I quarantined the fish with the large red patch in case it's something contageous, but he seems somewhat distressed being alone(schooling fish) Should I put him back with the others? Should I quarantine that other danio with the bare stripes? How should I treat these conditions?
Also; one of my other danios is much thinner than the others and he doesn't come up when I give them pellets(though he sometimes shows interest in the plec's food) He does eat the freeze-dried blood worms- I suspect he may be addicted. He also doesn't seem to be schooling with the other danios. What should I do?
