i have a tank with guppies, mollies, and platys. a couple females gave birth to fry maybe two days ago. today i see that one of my female guppies and one of my female mollies were acting funny, like they were in labor but they had no darkened gravid spot. i then noticed they were in fact trying to push something out as if they were giving birth.

i looked a little closer and a translucent pinkish bubble is popping out,on both fish. the only thing i can think that it is is their insides. so faR i have only seperated them from the rest of the tank. the guppies scales are starting to protrude around her stomach area. but what is this and what else can ido?

this could be swim bladder never had the problem my self but sounds much like it

if it is there is not alot you can do the fish will die from this all i would advise is keep them seperated from other tank mates and let them pass away in peace

I would post in the emergency section. Pineconing can be cause by a couple of things, either organ failure or a bacterial infection. Normally when a fish starts pineconing it is to later to do anything.
