Ok, so I was watching my moms fishtank tonight and I noticed one of the female bettas I gave her has this white stuff on her. Right now I have her in a 1/2 gallon tank with clean water, and Iam treating her with Tetracycline Tablets. If the tablets don't work does anyone know what other med I should use?

Here is a pic. On her body it looks like skin peeling :/

Any help will be greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks

It might be the very early stages of Columnaris. Here's some info:

Petfish.net - Columnaris

It says one method of treatment is Tetracyline so you're on the right track.

Good luck, I hope she pulls through! :)

Yep, I would have to agree. It does look like couminaris.
Low temps - like really low 70's and lots of stress coat will help.
The tetracycline should work just fine.

Good luck!
