Haha that's good. Just worried it's terrestrial, there were "underwater palms" (yeah right) at the pet shop, but everything else seemed fien and dandy.

Hi,
That's a Cryptocorne Wendtii. It's a good plant.
Take a look at Tropica's Website (Tropica), there's lots of useful info.
It shouldn't get too big and is easy to look after.

Looking at the Wendtii pictures it does look a bit like that, roots look aquatic. Anybody else?

could be a wendtii. remember alot of suppliers grow their plants emmersed so they might just be the crypts emmersed leaves. They should die off and new, aquatic leaves will grow. ...hopefully !
