I just bought 2 Black Skirt Tetras yesterday. I just noticed these white spots on one of them. Can anyone help me ID if this is a problem. I dont want my other fish being effected, and i wanna help my new tetra.

I think that might well be Ich (whitespot) does it look like grains of salt? if so you will need to treat the whole tank with anti ich meds, raise the temperature and increase airation

Ok, so the treatment killed one of my brand new male guppies. So i've decided to kill the source. I brought the 2 tetras back to the store. They refunded my money for the 2 tetras, and my guppy that died. I've moved my other guppy over to my 10 gal, and put one more fizz tablet in the tank, and hopefully that should kill off everything else.

That sucks that your fish died, but some advice for the future if you put some aquarium salt in your tank or even table salt (non iodized, the iodine will kill the fish) it helps to calm your fish and not stress them witch can cause ich, and the salt actually helps to heal fins faster too. :)
