I know it is a bad pic, but maybe you can still tell. Also they are in the cory fry tank. If I can't get them all out, will they hurt the fry or eggs?

It looks like a pond snail. The eggs usually come in on live plants. I don't breed fish so I don't know if they would bother your fry or eggs.

expect about 500 within a few months if you dont start removing them

I have loads of them, never really eat the plants but they get crowded and look fugly anyway imho.

Man I found a one of these little blighters in my tank the other day. I didn't remove it. I now have 2 in the tank and lots of little patches of what I presume is snail eggs (little patches of clear jelly on the plants) Do the fish eat the snail eggs? (i have only guppies?) as the jelly stuff only lasts a few days before disapearing... Or am I going to be infested with snails

I'm guessing the latter.... hmmm wheres me net?

I have to finish 3 tanks so I can move the fry. As soon as I can get that done... this tank is going to get sterilized! Maybe if I break it down and clean it with a bleach solution and start over they won't come back. I have been taking out all that I can get, but the sand is full of little ones. There are too many to remove just snails. I will have to dump it all. I didn't know I had them until I saw the big one on the filter. They blend into the black sand.
It may take a few days to get everything done, but I need to get the other ones done so I don't have to move fish any more than absolutely necessary. I was planning on moving them anyway. This is just rushing me a little.

get some dwarf puffers in there own species tank, then every once and a while move a few of those pond snails over. Its the natural way of getting rid of them, muahahahahahaha

I am definately thinking loaches! I just can't put them in my fry tank. That would defeat the purpose of the tank.
