Have you tried having a look at Planet Catfish's Cat-eLog? They are usually a good source, although it can take a long time to look through all the pages. There's also a forum where people could help you.

how big is he?

(as a side note - my homework leads me to think we have an Big Spot Peckoltia, L163 not a Para Plec L075 like the shop sold us )
