What Is This?! Ick Or Fungus?

Alright, so other than my 10G which ive been asking for help with (molly) lately, I also run a 40G tank.

Recently a molly that had just been bought (another one. note to you guys: dont buy mollies at petsmart. no really.) started to develope a white.. gunk around him. The only thing I can relate it to is when a fish dies and it starts to break down. You get that chunky nasty looking slime. He also has white spots like ick.

Now, after calling a few stores one was determined he had ick as the other was sure it was a fungus.

None of the other fish in the tank have this. The affected one doesnt act like he has ick, as he does not make sudden darts across the tank or rub himself on anything.

We treated the tank for fungus. Is this correct, or is this really ick?
