What Is This Fish?

what is this fish??? not the parrot cichlid, not the convict but the other one??? It appears to have a yellow dot on one of the fins...an almost shark like tail, and a pointy face.....i need to find out what this is so i can take care of it properly!! any help is appreciated

Its a Leporinus, it will grow very large.

Thanks, i am researching it now...i have it in a tank just under 40 G with a convict cichlid (currently about the same size), and a pleco..this should be big enough for now, it seems not to want to eat but he has only been in his new home for a day...i will try algae wafers..it might just be eating algae off the rocks etc...anyways will this fish likely eat the cichlid and pleco if it gets considerably bigger in the near future??

Its not a Leporinus,

It looks to be a Marbled Headstander (Abramites hypselonotus)

I traded it for some tropicals i have....it came with a pleco and the convict cichlid....i think it is for sure the marbled headstander!!!

definitly a marbled headstander, i always wanted one but theyre too aggressive for my tank. and just a tip, NEVER buy a fish if you dont know what it is.....

Origianlly my tank was going to be for yellow lab cichlids...i just so happend to get these on "trade" ...currently they are fairly entertaining to watch, the convict is the bully for sure...my LFS will take them on trade if i want as well....i kinda like the headstander, the convict seems to be the one that will cause problems so it might have to go...
