any sugestions....
he looks to be in the " vieja " classification like the red head cichlid.
i have 2 they are very greedy, one is larger and more colourful than the other. so i think i have a male and a female. they are well mannered but often challenge other fish and become teritiorial
help please,
tuurlijk

I am certainly no expert but as no-one else has answered yet I though I may be able to help.

I think the first picture is of a young Firemouth Cichlid (old name Meeki).

The second I am almost positive you will find is a chocolate cichlid. I have one at the moment, could grow to 12 inches and is also vey stocky, although not too agresive in my opinion.

Regards

Think I may be wrong about your first picture (sorry I can't help with this) Still sure on the 2nd picture though. Melissa
