What is the smallest size fish that bichirs can live with.

Hi, I’m pretty new to keeping bichirs and I am really interested in the smaller species like the banded bichir. I was just wondering what size should a bichir tank mate be so they don’t get eaten.

These guys are mean, you need to have fish that are big enough that they won't think of them as afternoon tea. Really what are you thinking. There are lots of cichlids that are fine, but getting ones bid enough may be a challenge.
