That’s my question. What is the name of the Amazon sword that doesn’t grow tall? I want to purchase some. Thanks.

Tropica is a smaller sword but there some others of the genus echinodorus, as Innesfan said.

I would like to warn you about chain swords. I have lilaeopsis "Novo zealandia" (New Zealand) & I like it. It grows well in my lower light but cannot be described as a "ground cover" in any way. Its runners sprout every inch or so but not close enough to be called coverage. They seem to be going for distance rather than density, lol. I suppose, if you trim & replant often, you might get patches of almost coverage if you work at it hard. Still, better than dwarf hairgrass, meh.

I have a newer plant called samolus parviflorus (but really likely Lysimachia cf. parvifolia). it gets red/pink leaves tending toward green without enough ferts. Mine in lower light is only 2 inches or so. It's really a stem plant but stays low. My newest favorite plant! Try it if you can find it! I love my plant club!

Just looked it up
Unusual look for a stem plant it looks like lettuce lol
I makes sense that it doesn't grow tall

But a pretty small red/pink lettuce, lol. To me it looks like a small sword...only prettier! I'm letting it grow undisturbed unlike my more fertilizing & offset-growing clubbers. I'm a very lazy tank gardener ;)
