quick answer what is more aggressive a krib or a convict. or do they vary like at breeding times can others be more aggressive than others in these times.
thanks

In general Convicts are more aggressive than Kribensis
They are both more aggressive at breeding times,

My friend many years ago used to have a Convict in with his community fish ... killed virtually every fish in the tank :(

I thought Kribs were pretty peaceful ... had my heart set on a few when done with the cycle ... might be time for a rethink.

Kribs are more peaceful... They can getideas into their heads though and bully certain fish. When this was happening, i seperated the female from the male for an hour in a breeder trap and after that, they were fine again!

thanks for the replies. yes cribs are more peaceful apart from when they are breeding like mine now they chase everything away from the eggs which is undertandable. they have never injured another fish nore even ripped another fishes fin

i dont know kribs in general are more peacful but i have seen a small 2" fella beat the living crap out of a 6" featherfinned catfish so really depends on the individual fish but generally both species are aggressive when breeding as with most cichlids but individually on paper cons are more aggressive

lol my 2 inch syno multi chased the hell outa another that was 4 and a half inches

convicts are more agressive, but fish personality plays a big part, you could get a really chill convict or a hell bent krib, my convicts are way meaner than my krib tho
