I have just noticed one of of my harlequins has, what I thought were tiny oxygen bubbles on the edge of its tail and fins. The only reason I am now suspicious is they are still there, and it is rubbing itself on leaves in the tank :S I have seen whitspot before and I dont think it is this. They really do look just like tiny air bubbles. My major concern is that he has been added to my new 29 gallon tank, and that it will have introduced something nasty into the water. :-( Does anyone have any ideas. I dont have a quarantine tank, but it could go back in my biorb with the remaining few fish in there to be treated. Problem is I dont know what to treat.

It sounds like gas bubble desease to me; caused by a sudden change in gas pressure in the aquarium. This can happen by changing/taking out too much water out at once in the aquarium or adding cold water, the bubbles in the fish will look like blisters.
If you don't treat it gas bubbles in the fishs bloodstream will kill it, the treatment is too add alot of aeration to the aquarium and lights should be left off for long periods of time to reduce stress- if many bubbles have already popped in the fish's skin i would go out and buy some Melafix to help stop the fish getting secondary infection.
