What Is Growing?

Well I just looked on the bottom of my tank and I have a bunch of beige color bacteria growing on my gravel. I am not sure what it is. I'm not sure it kinda looks like rust but not too much. Any ideas?

How long ahs the tank been running? It sounds like algae

My tank has been running for well over 3 years. I see it come and go but am still wondering what it could be.

Sounds like brown algae, i think i would remove the gravel and sterlise it.

Thank you wilder, is it neccesary or is there a treatment i could purchase, i just dont have alot of time on my hand right now.

Look down the panel as well it tell you alot about algae.

Or you could get some algae eaters.
