my convict layed eggs on sat. now what happens next???? i have her and one male in a 40 gal. tank is that good???? should i do anything or just leave them alone.

Leave them be, cons are usually very good at parent raising. You should be concerned with what you are going to do with 100+ small fish that aren't going to remain small for long.

The eggs should hatch into wigglers in around 3 days, wigglers start to swim in around 5 more days. I fed mine finely crushed flake once they were swimming, crush it into a powder. Freshly hatched brine shrimp are a better alternative than flake, mine did fine on the flake alone.
