I'm sorry for your loss. The standard questions apply about your ammonia, nitrIte and nitrAte levels and how where your tank is in the cycling process. How long have you had the fish and did it act weird during the last couple of days? Was it swelled before it died?

When was the last time you saw her with a normal stomach? Was there anything else abnormal about her behaviour of appearance before the death?

i have had the tank a few years i do a water change every single day!! 20%-%50%

and just this particular female has been swollen up for a few days not but i just thought she was having a good food on the courgette

With water changes like that it would be hard to blame it on quality. If the fish was a few years old, it could be that its time had finally come and that some internal organ failed. Or it could be that some parasite or blockage was to blame. To be honest, there is no way to diagnose what happened by just looking at it now that it is passed. One somewhat early indicator of a fish's health is its poop. Had the fish been eating and pooping that you could tell? That might tell us if it were parasites or an infection possibly.

Keep a very close eye on the remaining fish especially of the same species for anything unusual.

she was 6 year old :S could she just died early off as you said a failed organ or something ?

she has been eating courgette but no i havnt noticed her pooping :S ! the other fish are fine so far :)

Was she the one you bred? And was she still with the male? It could have been a combination of constipated and egg bound. 6 years I would have thought was way too young for a BN to die.
