What Grows As Good As H.polysperma

we have polysperma and its doing great,
what other plants do as good and would look well with it?

I find the Ludwiga family to grow like wildfire.

Maybe its me but my vallisneria grows like mad, couple of vallis if not controlled can overgrow smaller (2ft tank in about month) tanks in weeks, let it loose for bit more and your fish wont have place to swim

ive never had look with vallis, it spreads but never grows more than 4"

If you want it taller - don't allow it to spread "too" much. Cut off runners, give separate plants bit more space to grow. Other thing is that there are different varieties of vallis. from not so tall curly Vallis. Tortifolia growing to 4-6" up to Vallis. gigantea (really an specially breed Vallis. Americana) which can reach +4ft.
Give them light (lots of it) and they will grow like mad
