What Going On With My Plant

Hi guys
whats going on with my plant .it started life as all red .now it started to change color .

Plants that are a deep red colour require lots of light and (I believe) iron to keep the red colour. How much light do you have on your tank?

Hi at the moment i am running 2 T5s and 2 T8s . i was thinking about adding some root tabs as well

do you know what your WPG is? (the wattage of the bulbs divided by tank volume in US gallons)

it works out at about 182 watts .and the tank holds about 40 uk gallons

Is there such a thing as too much light? going yellow suggests even less chlorophyll is being needed?

That looks very much to me like Rotala Rotundifolia. Mine is in an EI tank with 3.5WPG, and is doing exactly the same.

Apparently, it is red when it is emergent and green with a finer, more delicate leaf when it is submerged. If you want to keep a level of redness, allow some to float at the top for a few days and replant. Keep repeating this process.
