its in the title really :)
i wouldnt mind a breeding pair of some kind of freshwater fish, but what fish are good parents?

thnx

i think either angels or rams. They both look after their young/eggs. there are loads more out there but i would say rams are good parents

Kribensis are very good parents as well, and this cichlid stays small. Very attentive, and there was nothing cuter, in all my time keeping fish, than watching the little krib family go on tank outings. Daddy would go first and pave the way, then the school of youngsters sticking close to mommy. :*) They are cave spawners as well, so you have the added bonus of the couple going house-hunting in the various caves in the tank. I did this a few times for fun. I put a few caves and options for breeding in the tank, and I had a particularly picky female one who was very funny.

thnx, but rams cost alot round here, what price should they be sold at?

I would personally say convicts.... I had mine breed in an african cichlid tank and boy did they protect them!!
