is this a buenos aires ? i read around the net and it says that it eats plants, well mine doesn't even bother to take a look at the plants... so i just wanna make sure

Yep thats a Buenos Aires tetra. They are known for nibbling on soft leaved plants but as long as they are provided with some green matter in their diet they should leave them alone, try leaving half a lettuce leaf in the tank for them to nibble on each day.
