Okay I currently have, one silver shark (being rehomed to a friend with a bigger tank this week)

5 danios, 6 head and tail light tetras, 2 male dalmation mollies and one small plec in a 100 litre tank.

What should be good next additions to my tank? Won't be for another two weeks but I am kinda leaning towards maybe one or two more suckers? Or some loaches I'm not sure.

Or some small angelfish... I just don't know, I'm like a kid in a sweet shop when I go to an aquatic centre :(

imo i wouldn't put anymore in. a pleco depending on type can reach 20" in aquaria and can be very pushy. angels need tall tanks and may be aggressive to your tetras. trying rehoming the pleco in the larger tank aswell. :good: actually a couple more tetras or mollies would be ok

What's the small plec....

But I would say up the tetra to 15 xD

A baby one ;)

The LFS I went to said it should be okay for 6 to be together and I shouldn't have to get anymore. Plus not sure if my tank would hold 15 tetras! It's more vertical than it is horizontal.

Was the same fish shop that sold me the plec and showed me an adult one which was about 6 inches or so. Not those huge ones.

Tbh more of the same species looks better than minimum of lots of different ones :)

100l could easy fit 15 tetra, 2 Molly and 5 Danios.

**spellcheck -.-

Brilliant thanks.

Will it not be too crowded at the top?

My tetras seem to favour being up with the danios

Stupid question but does it matter what kind of tetras they are?

get the same as you have already, bigger schools = happier fish = more interesting behaviour/displays for the keeper to watch.

They are both males, I was assured they were females but they are not. Needless to say I've not gone back to that shop but they seem fine at the moment, no chasing or fin nipping etc. I think I might get two female mollies to add.

Thanks I will get some tetras :)

If you wanted to get females, it's best to get them in a ration of 1m:2f or greater - this allows the females a break from harrassment, as the males turn their attentions to the others. The females will then spend their entire lives as baby-producing machines - they can store sperm for up to 6 months after their last "encounter". With 4 females, the chances are you will get a few fry surviving to adulthood, especially if you have a decent amount of plant cover - consider where those babies are going to go.
