Hello, what and how many fish can i put in a 6 gallon tank (not many i know)

Is the general rule 1" per gallon.

In that case stick to 1-2 inch fish and follow the inch/gallon rule. For instance, 3-4 pygmy corydoras and a honey gourami. Or 6 small tetras.
