hey i think the title explains it all but what fish would you recommend for a 10 gallon? i really would like to have silver dollers but i no they get huge but i have read that they are slow gorwers and grow as big as there tank will let them. i only wanted 2 so they would have a pretty good amount of room. what about tetras, im not a fan of neon tatras but cradinals seem pretty cool. my last option is mabye 4 or 6 tiger barbs? please tell me if im making a bad desicion!

Fish that stop growing in small environments are stunted fish. It is still unknown for sure that this harms the fish, but the general consensus is that it does much more harm than good (shorter lifespan, deformations, pain, etc...)

tiger barbs are waaaaay too active for a 10 gallon as well.

The typical solution is get a betta and african dwarf frogs... but that's not the only option

You could get dwarf puffers, 1 or 2, 1 preferably.

You could get guppies or platies.

A school of 4 or 5 pigmy or panda cories.

shelldweller cichlids.

Shrimps.

Don't get all those mentionned, but these are all fish who will happily live in a 10 gallon tank.
