hi i have 5 neon tetras, 6 xray tetra, 5 glowlight tetra, 4 fancy guppies and 3 otocinclus in the tank for the last 6 months, all doing fantastic healthy fish, i dont want to over stock my tank but it just looks pretty sparse, its heavily planted also. i was just wondering what other type of fish i could have (if any) to put some colour into my tank as its all natural the fish tend to blend in, i would be greatfull for any input

I'd reco more of the same as all those fish do like a big group (maybe not the guppies so much.) so

10 neon
10 glowlight
6 x-ray
6 otos
4 guppies

......but dont add them all at once! Do it per species and give it a week or so inbetween to allow your filter to catch up with the extra waste.

I personally would up the 3 tetra species to 8 of each, and probably get 3 or 4 more guppies. I find more numbers of less species works best.

I would get your neons to 6, glowlights to 6, and otos to maybe 5-6. Your pretty much at the limit, but if you're fish are happy and healthy and you keep up with water changes, you may be able to squeeze some in.

How about a lovely pair of an Apisto cichlid? There's Cockatoo Cichlids, Agassazi Cichlids and Bolivian Rams or Panda Cichlids

How about some gouramis? You could get a male/female pair of Pearl Gouramis,a single Paradise Fish, Or maybe a group of Sparkling Gouramis or a group of Licorice Gouramis.

Yellow honey gouramis stay small and look really pretty too.

Hi, i went for a peaceful, community tank, as my stocking level suggests..

The number of Cardinal Tetra especially look striking and with the sand i have i plan to do the correct thing and increase my Cory to 6.

Regards,
Terry.

apart from the tetras, what other types of fish could i keep with them and how many? thanks for all the replies, given me alot to think about! :good: oh and i forgot to mention there is a few red cherry shrimp in there so preferably something that isnt going to wipe them out :D
