OK next thrusday my LFS should have them in stock again as my tank has been ready for ages now.

Just wondering if there's anything that could live along side them, I'm planning on 3 of them in my 10 gallon, there's a pile of rocks with flower pots in and even a area in my DIY hood for them to sit on!!

Wouldjust like something to add some colour/movement to the tank.

I'll probable get some shrimps of some sort aswell.

Well, If you had a large tall tank you maybe could get away with strictly top dwelling fish like African butterfly fish and Hatchet fish, but since your tank is so small I would not recommend anything else with the crabs besides themselves.

Anything a bit larger than they are should be fine. I wouldn't go with small fish such as neons, even if they are fast.

You should be fine with 3-4 small zebra danios.

Or some ottos or corydoras or something to clean - except that you're getting shrimps as acleaning crew, well anything big will probably eat the shrimps so :dunno:

:fun: Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Bottom Dwellers with crabs is a bad Idea, someone once reported that their small crab killed an adult clown loach. Only fast top dwelling fish should be kept with crabs.

I have a Red Crab.

I have put in a huge Rock for him to climb up and made Places for him to live in the Lighting Shelf, Which has a few MM of Water in it. He Likes it in there.
I have had no Problems with it Being in with Corys and Kuhlis, They Ignore it and Vice Versa.

When I was a kid (with my first tank), I got a Red Claw Crab. My LFS told me feed him this (sinking tablets). At first it was fine until the fish started eating him sinking tablets. So, he was not getting any food. After a while, fish would disappear. It's cool to have crabs and lobsters, but I don't want to lose any fish. Also, most of my fish sleep on the floor of the tank. Not good with a crab in tank.

I would say get anything apart from bottom feeders i have a red claw crab and mines fine with all my neons and even fry (when i have some)

Cheers for the input, I guess I'll go with some tetras or a small shoal of something, if Mr crabby's start attacking i can always shift the tetras over to my 3ft.

How many would tetras and such like be a shoal in? 5?
