I'm looking for some fish that are compatible with baby mollies, licorice gouramis, and sparkling gouramis. The tank is 20 gallons and heavly planted, I would like fish that don't get over 1.5" fully grown, does anyone know of any?

i have glowlight tetras in my tank that are avbout an inch long
they might grow a little more but not much

Spotted rasboras - rasbora maculata. A small school of these would work beautifuly. Alternatively, you could try neon tetras.

Pygmy cories (c. pygmaeus but there are other small species as well - c. hastatus for example). Again, a small group would make a lovely bottom-dwelling addition.

If you'd be interested in livebearers, either a trio of mosquito fish (heterandria formosa - NOT gambusia affinis) or a trio of endler's are fish to consider.

The myer's hatchetfish (carnegiella myersi) also grows to only about 1" and would make an excellent, peaceful, schooling top-dweller if you could find a few.

Obviously there are more gourami species that stay small but I'd guess you don't want to put any more in there and risk over-crowding.

All the above are compatible with each other and with your fish. Just make sure to keep them in adequate numbers/ratios and to not over-stock. Most would also be compatible with the clown killi and all would be compatible with the glowlight tetras which were both mentioned earlier.

Dwarf platys!!! (a.k.a.- coral platys) Mine are full grown and they've just about reached an inch in length.

Pseudepiplatys annulatus (the clown killi)
There are various strains for different locations but the one Liberia (Monrovia) is the most colourful.

I love the Clown killi, but i live in the US do u think I could get Clown Killis here, and how much do u think they would be? :)

How many of the other fish do you have? I just know that mollies gets quite large so you might be fully stocked if you have more then a couple (along with your gouramis).

My god, I just read the list Wolf posted and there is a 30" tetra?!?! The SABRETOOTH tetra... sounds scary.

Anyhow Mikaila, mosquitofish sound boring but they're quite pretty in good light with plants - they are found in like, every waterway in Australia and I think they're common in the US too. They'd be a nice choice or one of the many tetras.

Good luck,
