What fish do you guys think I should put in my 2.5 gallon planted tank because I'm at a loss as what to put in it and I'm dieing to put something in it. Any help would be appreciated :good:

Thanks

Austin

Maybe a male betta? You could let him live the life! But more importantly what are you stats?

Stats as in ammonia, pH, nitrites etc

Dont know of many fish that could go in a tank that small. Maybe some shrimp instead?

Everythings fine but don't remember PH off the top of my head though is fairly nuetral

No puffer, don't want to mess with it's waste not sure if my filter can handle it and last two attemps with bettas they died because there already in such bad conditions here though maybe I can get a lfs to tell me when they get a new shipment in and try that.

Sounds the perfect tank for a splendid Betta Splendins!

or two and a half neons....

Following the letter of the law then:

1" of fish per gallon. (BTW a rule I don't actually follow :hey: ).

Expect neons get to about 1.0" to 1.5" max (depends which source you take your info from on this).

Neons are best kept in groups of 6 and above.

So if you were thinking of 'neon' then your 2.5Gal is not suitable (sorry i was being facetious in my last post).

Tetras need to be in slightly larger groups, if I were you I would do a betta!

I'd personally go with shrimp myself... A more expensive kind than amano shrimp, something like cherry red or the even more expensive, crystal red.

Yes but I'm not sure if I can find any shrimp here though I will try very hard. No I know tetras like 6 or more and they get too big for my tank.

2.5 Gall, you really only have a few options

1) Betta + Shrimp
2) Snails + Shrimp
3) Betta + 1 Otto
