Hello! This is my first time making a post, so please excuse my bad description, I'm still a newbie. I just finished my Nitrogen cycle and I want to add my fish. I know I can't add them all at once, but I want an idea what I'm getting. I have a 10 gallon tank, I still have 2 Zebra Danios left over from my cycle. I was thinking of adding neon tetras but people were saying no, they should be in 20 gallon tanks ( I don't know why) and I also wanted to add Black mollies but people said that they grow to big, which I can sorta understand. Do you have any suggestions???

I believe Zebra Danios need a larger group, and a larger tank as they are very active swimmers. What about a Betta? You could have one Betta, 5-6 Endlers, some ghost shrimp and maybe some otos. Or maybe a guppy tank?

The Zebra Danios need bigger tanks, so I would donate them or give them away. For schooling fish, you could have Celestial Pearl Danios, or Harlequin Rasboras, or Cherry Barbs, or Endler's Livebearers. For bottom dwellers you could go with Pygmy Cories, and for centrepiece fish you could go with either a Dwarf Gourami, a pair of Sparkling Gourami, or a Betta :good:

Thanks for the idea, but my Betta, who is currently in a 5 gallon tank and very happy, doesn't not get along with a lot of fish. I never tried putting my betta with endlers, but I tried putting some neons with him and my betta chased them.

If you added the neons to the betta the outcome would be problematic, as bettas are territorial. You can have other fish with bettas but the betta has to go in the tank last :)

I wasn't thinking of adding my betta in the 10 gallon, sense he seems really happy in his 5 gallon tank, I was thinking of a school of fish and maybe some mollies or something

Neons are a bad idea in a newly established tank anyway, so I think you should move on to another fish. Endlers or guppies and ghost shrimp are a good idea.

Thanks, could Endlers and guppies go together, and also, are Endlers Schooling fish????

They can go together, but they'll likely produce young that are a mix. I'd suggest one or the other.
