Hey

I have had a tropical fish tank for bout 6 years now and have on ever bred fish such as the common guppy. I now have two tanks one with a Blue clawed lobster, 2 Angelfish and a big Pleco in there and the other tank is empty and i wanna start breeding some fish but not sure what to start with!

I would like something a bit more interesting than guppys though .

Any ideas for be good.

Are you wanting livebearers?

Or egg layers?

What size tank is it? Might help us give you a better idea on what to breed. :)

Good thinking Stang...amazes me though people ask a question then never come back to reply...or add a thanks...!
Thanks Debbie and I know what you mean. Saying that, I've been guilty of asking a question on here before I go to work in the hope I'll have the answer by the time I get home!

Depending on how big your tank is...chichlids are fun and easy to breed. Most of the species hold the babies in their mouth and then spit them out free swimming like the guppies.
With guppy breeding to make it fun, you can really get technical and make your own strans by picking out what you want in their visual appearence.

Stang I ask a question, always wanting an answer NOW.....patience never was one of my strong points :)

How about maybe trying Endlers, they are a great fish and its easy to breed as they drop fry every 17-23 days ;)

Nope...didnt take me that long. I started with short red tailed guppies and before I knew it I had BiG delta reds in about a year or so.
