What Fish Is This

i saw this same fish at my LFS when i bought my green spotted puffer.. they were in the same tank as they are in this video..

i was just wondering what kind of fish it is and can i keep it with my puffer?

it looks like some type of an angel fish with black stripes down its eyes


you can only catch a glimpse of it cuz they focus on the puffer but if you look at the ones swimming around it you should be able to tell

Mono was my first thought certainly - id go ask on the brackish or the oddball area about keeping it with a puffer - its a brackish fish afaik, but puffers are notorious for being nippers, so the mono may not handle that (both those fish in the vid look very stressed. could partly be due to being together).

depends on the species of puffer
we had a shipment of fig8s come in
the only tank we had for them contained two monos
the next morning all the fig8s had leigions on their back
caused by the monos pecking at them

sadly the puffers died, presumably, from a bacterial infection from the wounds.

IME monos= nasty fish
