HI ive set up my aquaqube will post pics later anyone kno any nice and small shoaling fish
ive seen some embee tetras which look ok and at my lfs i saw some rainbowfish wat they were really small and quite colourless i saw a pic of boesmani rainbow fish online it was deep and vibrant blue and yell but at my lfs there mostly silver with bits of blue and yellow y is this

I think it's time we had a pin on fish for a nano tank lol...
You could have a betta, paradise fish, micro rasboras and more which i don't know the names of.

I wouldn't keep Rainbows in the cube. Not even the Dwarf Neon Rainbows. They get deep bodied aswell as getting longer.

Galaxies are a good choice. I have 6 of them myself. Small Rasboras are fine. Sparkling Gouramis, Dwarf Corydoras, small Tetras. Endlers are beautiful, Im sure Gill wouldnt mind proving that ;)

what algae eaters should i add at my lfs i saw some plecs im not into plecs i dn like them at all i want an algae eater that looks nice and is quite small any recommendations

arent endlers same as guppies
????

Otos (Otocinclus affinis) are for you then. Small little algae eater and a joy to watch. A plec would produce far to much waste.
Endlers are similar to Guppies. Both livebearers (give birth to live young).

Any of the microrasbora species or many of the boraras species would be good. Or pygmy corys or lampeye's. I'm going to have Gertrude's rainbowfish in my nano when its running properly again.

Wow, that fish is pretty. arif_93, looks as though you can have a type of Rainbow in your cube.
my local lfs or any shop in or around bristol sells gertrudes rainbowfish i have phoned 18 aquatic retailers some of them havent even heard of the name
can i buy this fish online???

Ive got 18 Gertrude's rainbow in my 24G, absolutely beautiful little fish especially the displaying male. There are quite a few similar Pseudomugil's, such as signifer and mellis. Most of them a bit larger though.

Try http://www.tropicalfishfinder.co.uk for stock lists. Some lists seem to be out of date as I found out trying to track some Epiplatys Annulatus down and not everywhere does courier, but its always worth a wee look.

I have 14 Gertrude's rainbows, indeed a very lovely fish as are most of the Australian rainbows. I got mine by asking my local MA shop to order them in, I would think most if not all MA shops could do that if you ask.

I keep 10 ember tetras and today I added 3 Otos. I also have a few lampeyes which are pretty nice, Boraras maculata was another choice I was thinking of getting or one of the Microrasbora species.

That is a pretty fish. I like, I like. We never get anything nice like that in Miami (Goes off to sulk).

We really should have a pin, there is one by Sylvia in the beginner's section, but it could use an update and then possibly copied and moved here. But with all these complicated techie questions popping out about drop-checkers and fert regimens and such, it's nice to see a question about fish.
