I think tank mite be a little on the small side for tiger barbs?, sorry cant offer an alternative.

The plec, you could go with bristlenose, clown, L129 few others but they seem to be coming to mind for a 2 foot tank :)

The guppies should be fine.

Not sure what you mean by fancy fish?.

I may be wrong with tiger barbs but i think they like big groups and larger groups help the spread of aggression, other barbs im not sure about but im sure someone else with more experience will come along shortly :).

6 micro rasbora would be nice. I have them, and their behavior is somewhat similiar to tiger barbs but they don't get as big. tiger barbs get too big for your tank since you should keep them in groups.

you could probably also have a few guppies. you'll want 1 male and 2 females, or just 1 male. but they reproduce very easily, so if you do get females be prepared for babies.

im after real colourful fish that are nice to look at like guppies, what neon tetras be ok?

Hi mozza7avfc :)

Platys are nice and colorful, and don't have to be kept in schools. Bristlenose plecos small and come in albino or brown shades, regular or long finned.
