Have just got a 35ltr tank. It has now been up and running for 3 days.
Wanted some ideas of fish now to put in there, i probably was going to go for tetras of some kind
the tank is quite minimal with dark sand and a few plants at back. Want some interesting shoaling fish
that will stand out well, but also maybe something else unusual in there for variety!

Any ideas welcome what would be happy in there, dont want guppies though!

hello welcome to the forum i was just thinking maybe a stocklist like this maybe a frog? white cloud minnows? need min of 5 tho err mayhbe a cory but i will need and would like to see pic of tank i will write up a stock list if i see tank thanks and hear from ya soon jordan

35 litres is pretty small; you want to make sure that you keep only fish that stay very tiny.

A small shoal of Ember tetras, coffee bean tetras, Chili rasboras or Celestial Pearl danios would all look stunning in that set up. I personally think that a shoal of one kind of fish looks far more impressive then a few fish of differing species. As these are such small fish that create very little waste, you could probably get away with 8 or 9 of any of those.

...err mayhbe a cory ...

This tank is too small for any of the cory species, except possibly pygmy corys, IMO. And you should really never keep 'a cory'; they are very social fishes and become stressed and unhappy if kept on their own.

Hello & welcome to the forum. Before we can give you any decent advice, its best to give us all the information you can.
Here is some of the stuff that would be helpfull.

Has the tank been Cycled?

What kind of filter do you have?

What are your water parameters?

What plants do you have?

What lighting do you have?

hope we can help.

i think was ember tetras i saw the other day i really like the look of them, I'd like a little shoal of fish.
I thought maybe a shoal of Those type and then maybe 1 dwarf gourami? I know im limited to what i can have but i dont want
a huge tank with hundreds of fish, just a nice relaxing aquarium with a few happy fish! Thanks

Tom's right, we should get all this information from you before we start giving you stocking suggestions; I forgot to ask myself!
