They Haven't killed eachother yet? I guess if you brought them up from babies then they are more used to eachother but wow, i'm still suprised

Nothing surprising about JDs and oscars being kept together. If you check out the oscar forums online you'll see it's quite a common combo. Dunno about the GT and JD personally as never owned either. Although if you're surprised at the tank size rather than species, that I can understand.

Cichlid wise at the moment, I have 3 sevs in my 6' x 2' x 2' with my (several) plecs, sevs are only 2"ish at the mo but two seem to have paired off (typical that they're two different colours, means I may have to get rid of a red shouldered/rottkeil at some point) already, either that or they're just an exclusive club

Then in hubby's community we have 7 angels, mainly youngsters but 3 biggies. And a herotilapia multispinosa. Amongst regular community fish. Oh and the Bolivian Rams.

In the past I kept an oscar and vieja intermedium together, but rehomed them in the summer. Big mistake, wish I still had them, they were a lovely pair Best buddies.

Too many to name and remember but my latest can been seen here. I no longer have them as I have moved onto discus after 10+ years of keeping BIG cichlids.

what fish are you talking about? I've had my GT and JDs sence they were about 1 1/2 inches and work very well together. Not much aggression in the tank but occasional my GT chases my JDs around. My 5 inch female JD is very friednly with my oscar. She is constantly lays eggs thinking the oscar is going to fertalize them. MY two FHs are very small around two inches and have no aggression problems yet......I think there male and female.
