ive had fish for years but until recently i wasn't doing it very well. 3 months ago i got a 30l biOrb for my bedroom and i love it but its restricting to what fish i can have the inhabitance are in my signature.
well for a 14 year old im very enthueastic about fish/fishkeeping today i went out and bourght a aqau one regency 80, a 180l tropical tank with external filter and twin fluorecent lighting system. the man at the fish shop said he would change the external filter for a top of the range one (best one on the market) if i payed the difference, it has a uv(altravilot) light in the filter to kill all external paracites and it stops white spot (he said i will never have white spot ever) and crystal clear water permanintly. i asked for proff and he showed a picture of his 11 tanks all with the same filter.

the gravel is a special gravel that feeds the plants and has bacteria in it and i want some plants at the back for intrest, im leaving the front almost bare so i can have bottom feeders.
anyway the dimentions of the tank are 80W*40D*70H what fish are well suited for this tank?

I've already told you what I think, but I'll tell you again.

Corys
Tetras
Angels
Gouramis
(Red tailed shark, not sure if it's compatible with tetras.)
(Not sure if Gouramis and Angels are compatible.)

For plants, i'd go online for value and quality, trust me, lots of plants in fishy business are probably actually not aquatic! Most fish shops do the same, (including mine :p).

I suggest you get this Premium pack of 80 plants (I'm going to get a smaller pack for my tank btw.)

Only 14 pounds and I think, about 5 pound postage. Very good value for quality.

I highly suggest you buy those plants online, a while ago Practical Fishkeeping rated them hugely well.

Also you could get some Cherry / Amano or similar shrimps, they hardly add anything to the bioload so they don't really count as anything stocking wise. And they're a nice change from normal stuff. They'll also eat quite a lot of algae types.
