what exactly is considered a common plec? i wna tone to go in my new tank with my oscar and on this site it says a common plec is a suitable tank mate.


anybody got any pics or can tell me where to find pics??

I think the commoc plec is Hypostomus plecostomus, but I'm not 100% on that. www.planetcatfish.com will have all the answers for you.

It can be a suitable tank mate but only if you have the room for one. They make more mess than the oscar and can become aggressive.
How big is your tank considering you are looking at around 18 inches of plec, maybe more.
