What Else Do I Need?

The 35L (about 8USG I think) in my sig currently has 3 ADFs, I've got 6 corydoras hastatus on hold in a QT at the LFS and when we find the right betta he'll be going in there.
Filter is a sponge filter, I ran it in my community tank before moving it over and have some extra media in my external filter that I'll add to it, when I add the corys.
It's got a mix of plants - wisteria, ludwigia, vallis, baccopa - I have more plants on order, so there will be a bit more variety.
A "hollow log" cave, bogwood and I'm adding some little frog caves.

What else do I need to add to this tank to make a betta happy or is it OK as it is? Or what little extras would be nice for him?

It sounds to me like you have thought of everything! I am no good with plants, but make sure you have a mix of small ones and tall ones, he will love to swim through taller ones. And maybe a floating plant? Also, i have these bulb things that i got from Modaz, called rubrea something or other... they just sit on the substrate and these lovely lily type leaves sprout out on long thin stema until they get to the surface. Great fun for a betta to swim round, all mine have one

They (rubrea) sound interesting, would love to know what they are (google didn'thelp lol).
Just looked at some floating plants today, so will probably add some =)
I probably should have mentioned a heater - I have got one

I've some of these from the same seller, one is for my son's betta and one is for the tank I'm getting ready for mine
Frogbit is also good floating plant for betta tanks as the bettas can "curl up" in the roots

Been trying to get some pics of the wee frogs but they don't want to take part in a photoshoot and keep hiding under the bogwood.
Possibly picking up the pygmy corys tomorrow, so will give them a day or so to settle then try for pics again.

Yup, those on Ebay are the rubrea i got, and well worth getting! I am crap with plants but these are easy to look after

LOL Kia I didn't relise you was going to try and buy the whole of DPfishways!?!?!? Glad you found the rubra alright.........good ob they aren't selling any bettas at the mo, they have some really lovely ones.

LOL I ain't spying on you (honest ) I was already watching the Rubra that I posted the link on as I was trying to decide if I was going to buy another one.

I like the green/blue bettas as well.......Finbar (my son's betta) is bluey/turq with some red. I'll try and get Finbar to sit for a photo shoot and post the phots on here.
