I had some nice smooth river rocks in my tank, I took one out and wrapped a rubber band around that and the cuc. Worked just fine.

i boght a screwcumber just because i'm sad really.
not sure how it works yet cos i haven't got fish in my tank at the moment bu i'm hoping it will be good.
Its just a novety item, something different.

I don't use anything to weigh down the cuke. I nuke a slice in a cup or small bowl filled with water for about 45 seconds?? I suppose it depends on the power of your microwave. When it sinks in the cup, you know it will sink in the tank.

Just use a toothpick and put it through the bottom of the cucumber, and stick the toothpick in the gravel.
