Ive posted this question before but now i no wat fry i should have - so ; heres the thing - im only 14 and have little resources , so do you think it would be ok if i made small holes in a polysterene fish bag cut short and put my platy fry in it? just for a week? The holes would keep water circulation.

it could possibly work but make sure it doesnt rip. I got a nice breeding net for 5$ at walmart and it had plants in it (4) and im only 13 and it worked fine for me!

Just go for a breeder net. They are dirt cheap, and much safer. Of course, you can only keep the fry in there for a week or two max though...but if you give them floating plants in the main tank, then the fry should be good. If you haven't bought the fish yet, save up for everything you need first, then get the fish.
