Ive noticed alot of people in the beginner section asking where to get fish supplies from! how about a section that you can go on were people can recommend the LFS they go to. You could break it down to range of fish/quality of fish/advice given by staff/stock available/value for money etc etc and give each section a mark out of 10. I think this would help alot of people. I personally travel 15 miles to a LFS as I know I will get good advice (there are LFS alot closer). I think it would especially help people new to tropical tanks to get good advice, to avoid death of fish/spending money/cockups!
Sometime last year we started a thread in this forum where people could list the LFS in their area and rate them. It was a bit of a long ramble if I remember right and kinda disappeared eventually when we ran out of shops within easy distance!
There was also an online retailer one I think.
You might want to do a search on it and then add your own experiences to the list.
I think it would be good if there was a better way or organising it so it was easily searchable, but am not sure if that's possible. Try PM a mod and see what they think.
I'd wait until you'd found the thread first to save them the trouble though. Those lazy mods.
