Looks good from what i can see, any chance make a pic's a little bit bigger?

is tha background 3d?

yes it is.
the background is the very old style juwel background (str450)
before they changed the design to a really bad looking "barkeffect" one.
The old design looks more realistic IMHO
I have two more pieces that I'm debating putting on ebay.

Thanks to all for the compliments

Very cool! I like it! :D

Nice laid out tank wolf, but from what i can see you need alot more plantage for that number of discrossus in that size tank (with discrossus more so than apistos and rams its more important for good plantage) , you should also probably only have 4 max (1m and idealy 2 female 3 at a push) not 6, also do you mind me asking your ratio of male female?

You mean avatar?
I'm sure I sent you that pic on the other forum when you started your squirrel abuse :dunno:

Ok, adding more plants should not be a problem.

It would appear that I have 3 of each, at least 3 seem to have red finnage (females?)

I have a 20g, 42G, 62g (heavily planted) & 82G tank to choose from,
all the details of stock levels are in my profile.
what would be the best way to split the group and where should I put the others?

I'm so out of my depth with cichlids

Sexing a filamentosus is fairly easy as males develop long streamers on a lyretail, where females have rounded tails.

As for which tanks? well took a look at your listing and I'm over my fool head with all those scientific names :S , definetly not with the kribs :D , so one pair per original tank, and your 42 and 62 gallon tanks would be the go, but you actually know whats in your tanks, steer away from anything to big, good plantage essential, caves are not essential but may be utilised if present. My refrence reccommends active species like characines (rasbora would probably be a fine substitute) but forgoing larger fish in smaller tanks.

preferred water stats
26-29 degrees C
ph below 6 if possible
dh below 5

Hope this helps

Andrew

PS a good rule of thumb reccommended through another forum - with polygomus (dwarf cichlid) males 2'x1' territory, females 1'x'1 territory
