I was just wondering what you guys put in your nano tanks because I'm at a loss as what to put in my nano 2.5 gallon planted tank. So any ideas to what I should put in it or what do you put in it.

Amano or cherry shrimp? Look nice, can live in a small tank, eats algae, bobs your uncle.

O well how big is your nanao because that's a lot, I'm talking about 5 gallons and under tanks.

2.5g? Depending on filtration, heating etc, perhaps

3 endlers or similarly mini livebearers

3 otos

A shrimp tank

Bumblebee gobies

Maybe microrasboras, or a danionella species

A betta

Snails

ADFs

Dwarf puffer

3 everglades pygmy sunfish

KSmall killies of some type

Thats all I can think of ATM, I'll see if I can think of more. Have a look at http://www.minifische.de/ . German, but not like you need to know what any of it means.

It's filtered and heated like a normal tank, no pure endlers around me so no on that smallest livebeared I think by me would be guppies though the tank might be too small, otos I'v considered but would have to find them first, bbg's need brackish I think and I'm not sure my plants can take brackish though I will consider, microrasboras i don't know if i could find any and don't know what the other is, bettas haven't lived for me past two times for no good reason, everything is fine but they die, snails already have one ADF's maybe, dwarf puffer I'll look into, and the last two I'll look into.

Thanks so much :good: any other ideas are welcomed.

off to other sub-forums to ask ?'s :D

For guppies, yar, probably.

Not nessecarily true, generally as long as the water is hard they're fine, although many people have success even in soft, acidic water.

otos I'v considered but would have to find them first

microrasboras i don't know if i could find any and don't know what the other is

Both very good reasons to ask your lfs to order you in some things. Although danionellas can be hard to feed, they need very small foods.

Problem being near lfs's won't order fish and I have to talk to the far away ones maybe they would. I'll ask about bbg's in the brackish forum.
