Fish-wise... I keep guppies only. I only have two females of fry baring age, both have had 4-5 batches of fry. I have had around 200 fry born (from these two as well as from 2 other adult females). Of all the babies I have kept (maybe about 60 of so...) the fry have been a sort of transparent to sandy color.

Now... in one of the last batches (they are around 2-3 weeks old as I'm not sure which batch they came from)... I have 3 that look like these pictures... (having a really hard time getting decent pictures of them! They are a sort of slate/grey color and look completely different than the other babies, not only in color but in body shape too.

What do you make of these?

Looks like a totally blue guppy. o_O

I shall keep watch on them and see what they turn into.
I also got 3 new fry today, hopefully lyretail swordtails. Not too awesome colors, but I always wanted a half-white half-black or red one and got the black&white version. Another fully orange and one part orange part black.

Most likely mother...

Only other possible mother, not as likely...

Father is likely to be unknown though small possibility it was this one... though I'm beginning to think he may have been sterile and older than I thought he was... he has died recently.

Hmm yeah does look like a cross with the two blues, but I had red guppies that created generations with orange+red+black tails and then with all green and yellow tails with black... so it might not matter what color you start with...
The middle female is amazing! Flaming tail!

Yes, I love her... we've named her Sunshine... and all of her offspring so far have been black and yellow snakeskins! She only now seems to have run out of her saved up mystery pet shop pairing packets....

Lol, I'd like to see some males with that color theme. Sunrise guppies! O.O
I miss my flame tails, they had a trapezoid tail with black zig-zag lines and red and yellow flame-like bits, and their bodies were half white half black with traces of pink. Then I had the green variation in F3, same pattern but less yellow, no red, all green. Whole generation was sterile. The only fertile green-tailed female I had was of an F2 generation that I raised in a vase with a lotus plant. She mated with some flame-tailed males when I moved her to main tank and then made more green tails which were also sterile.
