look down i have a choice of two ;/

might buy it.. not if its poo though :p thnx

I used one of these for a while but found that the supplied sponge is pretty much useless. The unit also has 3 large ridges inside that wont allow a sponge to fit snug unless sliced to match (a pain  ) if the sponge is not sliced then the amount of water that bypasses the sponge renders it almost useless.
Mine is now only used when i setup a new tank as a polishing filter, ie. stuffed with filter floss to remove tiny particles. The adjustable flow director on the top is handy if you just want water movement though.
My opinion, leave well alone, it is poo (just my opinion)

Go for the Stingray, Far far better build and functionality, worth the extra ££

Stingrays are very good. You can adjust the outflow direction and they don't make that huge mess that some of the internal filters make when you remove them from the tank to clean them.

I've found them to be very powerful actually, so make sure that you buy one suitable for your exact tank size.

i ended up buying a floval 1... quite funny actually the guy in the shop (Pets at home) was telling me to buy the stingray but an older guy walked by and said 'fluval 1 all the way mate' so i got the fluval, seems to be doing well... ive turned the undergravel filter off just for the first few hours of using this new fluval.. looks like its doing the bussiness anyway! thnx you ppl
