Hey guys,

I have recently bought a pearl. It isnt really eating because i think the food i feed it is too hard to swallow. I am trying to feed it Wardley's freezed dry bloodworms. What do you guys usually feed them? + is it healthy to keep feeding my other fish with just Wardleys bloodworms?

Also my filter blows air out through the top (it is a long tube along the top) which is pushing the pearl which makes it even harder for it to eat but it usually just stays and either end of the filter where the current isnt strong. Do you think i should get a different type of filter?

I would get some flake, pellets or something in their diet as well...as it contains all the vitamins etc that they get in the wild.
Try live bloodworm or brine shrimp...should do thetrick ;)
I would try to decrease the flow as he is an anabantoid, whihc is the species of fish that take air in from the surface...so if theres too much flow it will find it difficult to do this

Thanks connorsbala. I will get pellets for it tommrow i guess. About the filtration, at the moment my filter is something like in this photo ( [post="0"]top filter[/post] ). It blows the water to the front. At the moment it is too strong for the pearl so do u think i can just turn the tube to blow the water up or down? or doesnt it filter properly if i do that? or maybe just reduce the water lv so the water just falls?
