I want to try my hand at breding and i have a few livebearers but i cant find any store nearby that will take them after they are big. i dont have room to keep too many more then what i have now. what does everyone else do with theirs?

I let nature take it's course: I don't remove the fry from the adult tank. If they make it to adulthood, then they make it. If not, well... :dunno: :/

I put mine in a seperate tank, where they can grow up and mature, and once to the size of my neons i release them into the adult tank, and that is my fishy circle for fry

;)

It depends which platy is pregnant at the time...if it is a pretty one...I will try and keep the fry.....that said....I like all my fish so usually end up keeping too many fry hence an overcrowded tank!! Its also hard if I have a few preggo at the same time....to tell which one dropped the fry!!

well as soon as they can swim for themselves poperly about 5 days i tansfer them to the fry tank and then after they gain their adult colours off to the lfs for a third of the selling value in credit, talking of which i have some more to go soon prob next week i think

I use my con fry as feeders for the fish in 65 gal. ...i Know it sounds cruel...so sry if i offend anyone..but its good for my pictus!
