I see those MiniBow 2.5 tanks at the fish store, and I was wondering, what do you keep in those? I know you can use them for a betta, but I've seen them set up at the store with like 5 small fish in them, such as Neon's, and other small skinny fish. Is that ok? Going by the 1 inch rule, if they get to be even 1" a piece, that should be a 5 gallon tank, right? So what you can legitimately put in a 2.5 gallon tank?

Plenty, if you have a decent importer. Out of what's commonly available you've got

~A betta, male or female
or
~A shrimp tank
or
~A snail tank
or
~Possibly a trio of endlers

But if you can get them, there's more, for instance

~Possibly some types of microrasboras
or
~Mosquito fish
or
~Some secies of killifish

And more.

Thank you for your response, but those tanks just aren't big enough for me! LOL! This aquarium stuff is addicting!

I really want to set up a small aquarium with some small fish, I LOVE those endlers, thanks for that! Being that they are very skinny as well as very small, do you think slightly more than 1" of fish per gallon is ok? I'm thinking like a 10 gallon tank with maybe 12-15 of them in it, good aeration and filtration, what do you think? And to clarify, I don't mean is it possible, I mean is it a good idea? I know a lot of people want to stuff as many fish as possible in their tank, but I want to make sure they are happy and healthy, I was just thinking that since they were so small, perhaps it would be ok.

It should be fine, yeah. Plant the tank up well, you'll soon have more endlers than you know what to do with.
